10 Mantras To Start Your Morning off with a Splash of Positivity

Mornings are tough, even for the most positive of people. Add in waking up to a long list of tasks to complete, and pressing that snooze button for the next 24-hours has never seemed so appealing. Unfortunately, that’s simply not realistic and you have to get up and get at it. What may surprise you though is that you don’t have to be a “morning person” to start the day off on a positive note. You just need some mantras to start your morning off with some positivity. Here are some of our favorites.

“Today’s a New Day.”

Forget yesterday. Forget last week. Forget last night. Every day presents the perfect opportunity to change everything and anything. So, don’t worry about what has happened in the past. Focus on the now.

“I Will Not Let Fear Hold Me Back from My Goals.”

Fear is the one thing that holds you back from doing the things you enjoy. It’s the one thing that holds you back from coming out of your comfort zone and it’s the one thing that can start your day off with a large dose of anxiety. So, trade in the fear for excitement; excitement for discovering your true potential. 

“I’m Capable of Anything That Comes My Way.”

Life presents many challenges. Every morning, remind yourself of everything you’re capable of. You’ve been presented with many challenges before and you got through them. Whatever comes your way today, you can handle.

“I Am Open and Accepting of New Changes and Challenges.”

Similar to the previous positive mantras mentioned, this positive affirmation is a great thing to eliminate fear and embrace the unknown. Accept new changes and challenges as they come, and adapt as needed to ensure ultimate happiness.

“Everything Happens for a Reason.”

If you wake up on the wrong side of the bed or perhaps your day isn’t starting as well as you planned, remind yourself that everything happens for a reason. The worst of situations present the best of opportunities.

“I Will Strive for Progress, Not Perfection.”

Striving for perfection is about as ineffective as having an unrealistic mantra to follow. So, start each day by reminding yourself that perfection isn’t the goal; progress is, and every day you wake up, you’ve progressed.

“I Choose Happiness.”

Some of the most powerful mantras are the simplest ones, such as “I choose happiness.” Reciting this mantra each morning is a great way to remind yourself that you’re in full control of how you feel and how your day is going to go. Happiness is a choice.

“Today Will Be a Great Day.”

Set the day up for success by reminding yourself that it’s going to be a great day. You can specify this mantra to suit your specific intention, such as “Today will be a great day for hard work,” or for healing, success, love – you name it.

“I Am in Control of How I Let People and Situations Affect Me.”

You can’t control the people around you, nor can you control all situations. You can, however, control how you react to certain people and situations. This is a great mantra to recite each morning, especially if you aren’t fond of the people you’ll be spending your day with.

“I am Awake. I am Alive. I am Lucky.”

Life is a blessing. Being awake is a blessing. Being alive is a blessing. You are lucky. Start your day off with this reminder, and everything that comes your way will seem minuscule to the amazing thing you have – life.
